Standard objects may not cover all the data types your organization needs. With custom objects, admins can create tailored data structures to capture information that standard objects cannot handle. Extending the data model with custom objects enables seamless integration of this unique data with tickets, triggers, and other workflows.

For instance, these fields can be added as custom lookup dropdowns in ticket forms. Examples of custom objects include:

  • Product
  • Orders
  • Asset
